As i steped down from stage wearing a sad look. my talent performance didnt yield any positive impact from the response of the crowd. buh my manager kept encouraging me with her sweet words.. It was time for the final outing our dinner wear /question and answer segment my manager told me that if i wanted to win i had to do well in this final round. i was all geared up and ready to go on stage in my white suit and red bow tie, i walked over to my classmate who was a female contestant and we got gisting and laughing and i told her i wanted her to be my queen cause i was going to be the king and maybe we could be the first king and queen to date on campus ‘maybe i was dreaming to think of that ………………………………..my major concern was with the male contestants as time thicked and we patiently waited for the femal contestants to finish up………………. Lets welcome on stage contestant number one from the male category my heart pounded faster as elizabeth my one of the female contestant walks in almost in tears, she had failed all her three questions “o God make my own no be like her own i was interupted by the laugh’s and booos! Of the crowd and some body shouted ” you sure say you be student?
You no sabi your v.c name and the whole crowd bursted into laughs i could’nt help it i started laughing too! As the contestant took his shameful walk out of the stage and to the dressing room i couldnt help buh laugh when i saw the look on his face ………………………………………….. Lets welcome on stage contestant number three from the male category the m.c announced. i boldly walked up stage welcome with loud apluse and cheers..

I was glowin and shining in my white suit and looked so charming.

M.c: pick a question.
Me: question number four.
Mc: how many departments do faculty of social science have.
Me: five departments, the whole crowd jumped up and were screaming i got the question correct i just smiled..
Mc: pick a number.
Me: number nine.
Mc: in which year was the faculty office complex built?
Me: no idea, the crowd were all shocked buh no negative remark came from them
Mc: pick another question.
Me: question number eleven.
Mc: what is the name of the former dean of the faculty of social science me: prof efosa johnson, the crowd erupted in cheers and at that moment i knew i had won it..
I boldly walked back to the dressing room and i began to get congratulative remarks from people around i just humbly held myself together as the judges buh together the results…

There was so much silence in the dressing room as we patiently waited to be called back on stage for the winners to be anounced. Some artist took to the stage to perform to entertain the crowd, i started pacing up and down cause i was so nervous and anxious..

Deffrent thoughts came flying trough my head, “if i win i would use the fame to f*ck all the girls” “if i lose the shame would be too much i wouldnt show my face in school till exam, i would drink and smoke my life away no God please let me win i promise to serve you till i die” they was no single thought that didnt cross my mind to the extend i ran out of thoughts.. I was pacing up and down absent mindedly to the extend i didnt hear when my manager called my name that it was time to go back on stage …………………………………. Lets welcome back on stage the contestants for the results to announced. My heart nearly stoped my manager held my hand and told me “i have a surprice for you after the show” i quickly pulled myself together and told myself its the D-time let me go and get my crown……

Mc: lets welcome contestant number one from the female category!. Contestant number two from the female category!! He called us out one after the other and finally contestant number three from the male category i was welcomed with thundering cheers and screams and i smiled and waved like a president buh in my mind i was feeling like the pope.
Mc: lets welcome the dean of the faculty of social science to announce to us our king and queen for this year mr&mrs sociology and anthropology night…… I started sweating like i was being cooked the show had reached its boiling point .

As the mc handed over the mic to our dean. Dean: goodevening ladies and gentle men, it has been an epic contest and i must apluad the efforts of the contestants today buh before i call the winners let me tell you people a short story.. And he started boring us with a story of 1972. i thought i would faint until i was rescued by a shout in the crowd “sir we no come here for lecture call the winners” and the whole crowd broke into shouts and he cut the story short. Dean: ladies and gentle men the result are here in my hands so let me do justice to it.

the first runner up from the male category goes to contestant number one i felt alittle relief from my heart cause it was just two of us left and my performance was much better than the other guy left with me My heart was beating fast and the fake smile on my face had disapeard.

Dean: now for the main event the winner of this years mr&mrs sociology from the male category goes to contestant number………………………… And he paused they was silence all over the hall every body waiting for him to call the winner and he smiled and looked at me as he shouted contestant number three…. i held myself together buh the shout and cheers from the crowd was so massive in no time people had flooded the stage to congratulate me as the organiser’s tried to control the crowd and get them off the stage so the results of the female category could be announce….
I was so happy and excited and in my mind i was like finally i’v done it. I kept smiling and i couldnt wait for the results of the female category to be announce..
