“What do you want from me?” She asked him not looking back.

“Why are you asking me that kind of question?” He asked back, still following her.

“That still doesn’t answer my question”, she continued.

“Ok fine, can you just stop so that we can talk”, he said drawing her back to face him. “What is the problem? Why have you been ignoring my calls and avoiding me?” He asked.

“Nothing”, she answered turning to walk away.

He drew her back again.”You can’t just tell me nothing, what did I do?” He asked.

“See let me tell you, you did nothing, just that I have been having small issues which I need to sort out by myself. The way I’ve been behaving doesn’t have anything to do with you.”

“Don’t just tell me that,” he said becoming annoyed. “How can you tell me that it has nothing to do with me while you have just been weird towards me. The other day your roommate embarrassed me in front of your room while you were inside and you didn’t come out to say anything”.

“I’m sorry about what my rummy did to you.

Actually I told her that I wasn’t in the mood to see anybody so that was it. She was acting according to what I told her and I would have also done same for her.”

“So do you mind telling me about this problem that has been bothering you?” He asked.

“Don’t worry I can handle it,” she replied. “Please I was on my way to the bank, do you mind accompanying me?” She requested.

“Ok let’s go”, he said smiling in his mind.

Vivy paid the cab as they alighted in front of the bank.

“Just wait for me here let me use the ATM”, she said to him and went inside.

“Are you through?” He asked looking at her.

“Yea.” she replied.

“So let’s go,” he said walking out.

“Wait”, she called him back, “there is something I want to tell you.” She opened her wallet and gave him some money.

This is sixty-five thousand, fourty for your school fees and twenty five for your pocket money”, she said to him.

He became dumbfounded and didn’t know what to say.

She continued, “I guess this is where we end it all. At least now you can leave peacefully,” she said and walked out before he could start saying anything because she was crying already.

“Vivy wait,” KC called walking fast to catch up with her. But before he could get to her, she ran off crying.
