And so Mama died, after all the struggle and pain, she eventually didn’t make it, she struggled, fought hard, but she was always fighting a lost battle. Tos spoke of her last moments and she said,
Mama woke up around 2am and was coughing profusely, the cough was non stop till 4am, she gave her water, woke up my granny and called on everyone around cause the cough was becoming terrifying.


By 4am she was sweating profusely and then still coughing though not has vehemently as before, all the windows in the room was open, and everyone was using a handfan to fan her, but still she won’t stop sweating.


At about 5am she signalled to Tos to come closer, she wanted to say somethings, while trying to speak, she gave up the ghost. Tos was right there, she saw it all, she felt the brunt of her suffering, she suffered, she really suffered.
She was strong, but this was stronger than her.


For five years she battled on, she suffered long, she was mocked, she was abandoned, neglected and looked down upon. She was tossed around, she saw hell while on heart.



And so my Mum died, not attending my convocation like she said, and so she suffered for nothing, all the pains where for nothing.

You shone like a sun mum
Even when you kept mum
Your silence echoed long
Even in death
You remain a conqueror
You conquer pains
You conquer shame
You fought the good fight
And you left the battle field with you head high
You came, you saw, you suffered and you died
You cross the whole essence of life
You remain a blessing to me
Keep resting in the b0s0m of the lord
I will always miss you mum
