Out in the cafeteria, Jayjay’s phone rang and he picked the call immediately he saw it was a famiiar number.
Jayjay: Big bro, sorry, i have been busy lately, if not i would have called you since.
Lor’d V: it’s okay, me myself, i have been having a hard time here too.
Jayjay: i guess, your mum is the cause.
Lor’d V: you guessed well then, she has been blabbing about how i will not and can never marry Vanessa and so on.
Jayjay: but, what does she have against Vanessa?
Lor’d V: her social status…(hisses) as if the girl created herself and put herself in that kind of situation.
Jayjay: how is she taking it?
Lor’d V: better than I imagined, she doesn’t reply my mum whenever she starts blabbing and that is a good one from her angle, i and my dad are still talking to my mum to try and behave better but you know my mum, once she starts, there is no full stop.

Jayjay: ehmm, just stand by her, with her man by her side she will hold on better.
Lor’d V: that is what i am doing Jay, i am only confused, what if she tolerates my mum to an extent and get tired of my mum’s attitude and she decides to break up the engagement and move on with her life, i mean i don’t want that to happen, i love this girl more than anything else in the world.
Jayjay: don’t be scared, i am very sure that it will never happen and besides you two have a kid together, and she also loves you alot, she will never do something like that, i am sure she is also putting up with all your mum’s attitude cos of you and her love for you.

Lor’d V: i think so too, the poor girl has gone through alot, and recently to crown it all, she found out that the people she has been living with and calling parents are not actually her parents.
Jayjay: what? How? How is that possible?
Lor’d V: well, according to them, they saw her in a basket where she was abandoned by some unknown people probably her biological mum and since they didnt have any child then, they decided to carry her and raise her.
Jayjay: i feel for her too, Martha is also going through something similar, recently we found out through a paternity test that she wasn’t my mum’s child and she was the child that was given to my mum at the hospital after the delivery.
Lor’d V: life can be very funny at times, so how is she taking the news.
Jayjay: she is doing just fine, my mum will leave for Benin City in two days time, cos that is where the problem emanated from.
Lor’d V: ah ah, same location.
Jayjay: how?
Lor’d V: her parents or rather fake parents, said that it was somewhere in Benin City, Edo state that they found her…wait are you thinking what i am thinking.
Jayjay: nop, what are you thinking.
Lor’d V: you know what, give me some time to confirm somethings, i will get back to you, take care of yourself and Martha.
Jayjay: alright and you too.

Chinedu: we have reached the place.
Tunde: i see, Transcorp Hilton, so this is the place where Jayjay will finally join his ancestors from, it is a fancy place though.
Mr. B: He is rich, so i expected him to die in a fancy place like this.
Tunde: first, let’s check around and make sure he is really around and then we will match in and finish the job.

Chinedu: don’t even bother…(pointing to a car, in the car park) see his car over there.
Mr. B: You sure?
Chinedu: yes, check the plate number your self nah.
Tunde: perfect, the Lord has delivered him into our hands.
The went into the hotel and inquired about Jayjay.
Receptionist: (looking at the computer screen) the only person we have here is Jaja Agaba.
Chinedu: exactly, that is him.
Receptionist: well, let me inform him, who are you guys.
Tunde: his friends.
She called the room and she was asked to let them in.
Receptionist: he said you should come up to his room.
Tunde: what room is that.
Receptionist: room 305.
Chinedu: (muttering to himself) so easy.
Tunde: thanks beautiful lady.
They went as directed by the receptionist and in no time they located the room.
Tunde: so, this is it guys.
They both looked left and right and saw that nobody was coming and kicked the door open with the three of them holding their guns and ready for action.
They heard the water running in the bathroom and assumed that Jayjay was in bathing but when Tunde pushed the door open, it turned out that they were wrong and before you could say ‘Jack’ policemen on mufti had already invaded the room, that was when they realised that they had just walked into a trap.
Seeing that there was no escape rounte, Tunde desperately started shooting aimlessly at the policemen and they also retaliated leaving a police man and Mr. B dead before the police over-powered them.

Chinedu and Tunde who got a bullet wound on his arm were taken to the police station and Mr. B’s corpse was taken away by an ambulance.
Police officer: (on the phone) it went well, but unfortunatly i lost one of my men…they were three young boys…yes, yes, one died…see you in station tomorrow morning then.
Lor’d V: thank you officer.
