Everyone seemed to have separated themselves; sitting with their own friend. Jerry, Kent, Jason, and Olivia sat together in another corner of the sitting hall while Jordan and Zoe sat together on at the center laughing and chatting; Biola and Elizabeth sat down together in silence.
“What do you guys think about, Daniel” Olivia asked
“What do you mean” Jerry asked
“Well, I think he can’t be trusted”
“come on, Olivia he hasn’t done anything? Why so pissed at him?” Jason said
“Am not, am just being cautious” Olivia said
“What are you pointing?” Jerry said
“Come on can’t you see? Come the hell was he able to kill a Nemean lion?” Olivia said
“We all know him to have been a powerful in the world we came from” Jerry said
“Yes I know but not this powerful, at least he was powerful in science and knowledge not by strength”
“Olivia shut up ok? You know nothing about him, I have known him way before you even knew anything about understanding” Jason said angrily
“Hey, Jason calm down” Jerry said
“No? I’ll tell you something you don’t know about him. He is a lecturer in Kung-fu in Los Angeles also an undefeated champion; he is also a Thai boxer and a champion. He is a master in whatever he lays his hands on, he’s well built and even Arnold has once commented about him saying (he (Arnold) was wasn’t that strong at that age), you can’t measure his strength, so Shut up and stop the beefing” Jason said angrily an walked away.

Jerry called him but he didn’t answer
“I think you shouldn’t argue with Jason when it comes to Daniel Ross and besides that I trust him. I loved him back in our world and wished to meet him and here we are with him, I believe if we work with him and make it out of here he will remember us for a life time, our lives would change” Jerry said to Olivia
“I’m sorry about what I said, I was only trying to make a point” she said
“well, you weren’t. Let’s forget about it and don’t talk about him like that” Jerry said and walked away. Olivia sat down looking at him as he walked away then she turned to see Kent staring at her
“you are not saying anything” she asked him
“There’s nothing to say. Just let sleeping dogs lie” Kent said then stood up to walk away
“Hey, Kent don’t walk out on me. What’s with everyone?” she said, Kent looked at her and smiled, then walked away.
“Fork YOU GUYS” she shouted angrily as he left
Biola and Elizabeth were sitting silently and watched as Kent walked away and Olivia shouted
“What’s with them? Elizabeth said
“I wish I knew” Biola replied
“You know, that Girl doesn’t seem to like people” she was referring to Olivia
“You are right. I tried talking to her once but she snubbed me, it was embarrassing”
“O my, sorry about that, she must be really full of herself” Elizabeth said with a disgusting look
“Forget about her. Tell me how you ended up knowing so much about Daniel” Biola asked
“Hellooo, Daniel is one of the most popular men on earth, have you forgotten?” she said snapping her finger in his face
“Yeah, true but you know him like he’s your course”
“Yeah, I really love his works and I was a science student and he happened to be the most intelligent scientist living in our world, I definitely wanna learn from him, he’s my number one. I had a dream of working in STCL” she said smiling
“I actually work in STCL before the whole world war III thing started” Biola said
“O MY GOD!” she was surprised
“You work in STCL?”
“Yes I do”
“I can’t believe this. You are a big boy” she said laughing and punched his shoulder
“What’s the big deal?”
“Big deal? It’s a really big deal. Do you have any idea how the world sees those who work in STCL. We see them as the most intelligent people on earth. You have no idea” Elizabeth still looked surprised
“Well, we are intelligent” he said boastfully
“I knew it. Ok tell me, how big is STCL”
“Well, STCL stretches from Lagos into two other states. It is as big as a city”
“Waw, I heard STCL in Nigeria and America are the biggest” she said
“Yes, it’s true”
“Waw, I wish I could go there. I never had the privilege to go there that’s why I worked hard so I could be able to pass an interview there and work there”
“Is it true Robots are staffs in STCL?”
“Robots work in some department where the works are too complex for man to handle. For example in the physics department where I work as a research scientist I work with robots. They are co-workers and they do a lot of difficult calculations”
“I am falling in love with it over and over again”
“Ok, can you tell me how much you were paid per month?”
“Yeah, the interesting fact about STCL was that the lowest salary earners were the cleaners who were paid #100,000 every month and this was the amount paid to senior staffs like managers and directors in other companies. The company car drivers were paid #150,000 and while the tanker drivers were paid #170,000. The security earned #200,000 per month. Well, as a research scientist I earned #3 million every month and every two weeks we got allowances of about 1 million.”
“Waw, that’s wonderful”
“You wanna know something interesting?” Biola asked smiling
“Yes of cause” she said widening her eyes
“Ok, STCL has 24 directors who formed the board but only six of them had ever met Daniel Ross in person because he had a meeting with them every 3months and only one out of the six was very close to him his name was Henry. Mr. Henry was the most senior of all the directors, no one knew how much he earned but I know that some of the senior staffs in the main building were paid 30million and more. Mr. Henry was very much respected because he was the closest to the boss and also Jane was Daniel’s personal Secretary, she was the most senior secretary and all others worked under her. She gained more respect than some directors” he said smiling, Elizabeth was amazed
“Waw, I wished I was there” she said
“Ok, tell me about your closeness with him” she asked him
“Actually, I never had the opportunity to see Mr. Henry talk less of Mr. Ross who was hardly seen. Those who had the opportunity to meet him were respected. For the first time in my life, I had the opportunity to go into the main building I was so happy on getting in; I was to deliver my research personally to Mr. Ross but I didn’t make it to his office because one of the directors told me he wouldn’t be in the country because his wife was about to deliver a baby in London. I felt sad but that was the day the war started and terrorists broke into STCL killing a lot but they were killed and the premises was made secured by solid lasers. A lot ran away through different exits in the company but I stayed in the main building and that was how I met Mr. Henry we stayed in his office until Mr. Ross called him”
“But you finally met him”
“Yes, I did he came to the company with Ada in a taxi that same day, I wonder what happened because they were looking dirty, I knew they had a bad day. I was surprised when he called my name for the first time when he asked me to come with him, I wondered how he knew my name”
“tell me about Mark”
“Mark is my friend but he was a very senior staff than me”
“That’s an interesting story” Elizabeth said and smiled
