How A 45-Year-Old Allegedly Defiled His Own 16-YearOld Daughter Inside Their Home In Lagos

On Friday, an Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court ordered the remand of Samson Adedokun, aged 45, at Kirikiri Correctional Centre for allegedly s*xually assaulting his 16-year-old daughter.

The Magistrate, Mrs E. Kubeinje, who did not take Adedokun’s plea, directed the police to send the case file to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for advice.

She adjourned the case until May 8 for DPP’s advice.

Adedokun, who resides in the Iyana-Ipaja area of Lagos, is facing a charge of defilement.

The Prosecutor, SP Kehinde Ajayi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 13 at 7pm in his house.

Ajayi said the defendant forcefully had s*xual intercourse with his daughter.

She said that the case was reported to the police and the defendant was arrested.

Ajayi said the offence contravenes Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos, 2015.
