Nigerians and Ghanaians have seemingly had a rivalry, especially on social media and with regards to music. Mr Eazi‘s declaration earlier in the yearthat Nigerian afrobeats musicwas derived from Ghana did not go down well with a lot of people on social media. He has faced a ton of backlash since then.


Most recently, Ghanaian dancehall act Shatta Wale was in the news for stating that he does not see Wizkid as a superstar and Nigerianscame for him on social media.

Speaking to Hip TV, Mr Eazi explained that in the end, there is no real hate as we are all Africans. He also allayed fears that Nigerians may not want to have anything to do with him as he narrated the story of when he went to perform in Benin and received much love. The singer also spoke in glowing terms of his relationship with Temi Otedola.
