The Flying Antelopes’ gaffer has warned their detractors not to write them off the league title yet on the account of their home draw with Lobi
Enugu Rangers’ coach Imama Amapakabo has said ruling his team out of the title race is a great mistake following their inability to peg down Lobi Stars.
Amapakabo’s side failed to build on their good start in the match as the visitors leveled up and the former Enyimba handler has warned all doubters insisting the Flying Antelopes will surprise them.
“It was just a bad day for us against Lobi because we did everything possible we could have done to achieve a home win,” Amapakabo told Goal.
“The boys played very well but we lost many scoring chances and if such situation occurs, one gets punished which was what happened at the end of the encounter.
“We are done with that home draw and we have started preparation for the away tie with Enyimba.
We know they are the league defending champions and we do not expect an easy match but we are going to Port Harcourt with the same believe we have had all season which has earned us impressive results away from home.”
Rangers are second on the log only on goals difference to Wikki Tourists with 47 points from 28 matches.
