Katsina by-election: Buhari wins Ward for APC

Nigeria’s President, Muhammadu Buhari has won his Ward for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Saturday’s by-election in Katsina North Senatorial District.

The official Ward A result declared by the electoral officers showed that the APC’s senatorial candidate, Ahmad Babba Kaita polled 1,984 votes to defeat the PDP’s candidate, Kabir Babba Kaita, who got a paltry 255 votes and the Green Party of Nigeria, GPN’s candidate, Lawal Mustapha,who scored 182 votes.
