Jose Mourinho denies any wrong doing after himself, Cristiano Ronaldo & Ozil are accused of £100m tax evasion

Manchester United coach Jose Mourinho has denied reports that he committed tax evasion while coaching in Spain after reports emerged on Sunday that his agent Jorge Mendes created special plans to ensure his clients Mourinho, Mesut Ozil , Radamel Falcao and even Cristiano Ronaldo evaded tax returns of up to £100m while playing in Spain.

Mourinho, looking tense after Man U's 1-1 draw to Everton on Sunday evening, denied any malpractice in his handling of tax issues when he coached in Italy, Spain or England.

Mourinho said: 'I have lodged the documents in Italy, Spain and England. I have nothing to hide. They prove that I have done nothing wrong.'

Jorge Mendes' sports company Gestifute, in a statement, denied the reports as "unfounded allegations"

"In this regard, Gestifute publicly states that: Both Cristiano Ronaldo and Jose Mourinho are fully compliant with their tax obligations with the Spanish and British tax authorities. Neither Cristiano Ronaldo nor Jose Mourinho have ever been involved in legal proceedings regarding the commission of a tax offense. Any insinuation or accusation made to Cristiano Ronaldo or Jose Mourinho over the commission of a tax offense will be reported to the legal authorities and prosecuted."
