Abdul Maikaba quits as Wikki Tourists coach

Coach of Wikki Tourists of Bauchi, Abdul Maikaba has resigned from his post as head coach of the Nigeria Professional Football League club.
Maikaba is the third coach to have quit his post since last Sunday when the 2015/2016 season was concluded after Mohammed Babaganaru of Kano Pillars and Fidelis Ilechukwu of MFM FC dumped their clubs.

The coach could be heading to Enyimba, who are said to be looking for a new coach following a disappointing season under Paul Aigbogun, or FC IfeanyiUbah who managed a fourth place finish in the NPFL table.

The Bauchi side finished the season at the third position and will be competing in the CAF Confederation Cup for the first time in their history next year.

Two seasons ago, he led them to a fourth-place finish when they missed out on picking a continental ticket and was said to have quit the club for not offering him an improved deal .

Maikaba had worked as an assistant coach at Enyimba and Kano.
