Mom, 3 Daughters Stabbed In France For Being "Too Lightly Dressed"

An eight-year-old girl is fighting for her life after her family, including her mother and two sisters, were stabbed in a French holiday resort for being "scantily clad".

The young girl, her sisters, 12 and 14, and their 46-year-old mother, were stabbed while at the hotel resort in Garda-Colombe in the Hautes-Alpes near Montpellier in France's south this morning.

Their attacker, known as Mohammed B, ran from the scene after the attack, which took place at the the VVF Villages Lagrand, but has since been arrested.

The family were eating breakfast at the time of the attack with local media reporting they had come from Nantes, in France's west, to holiday in the Alps region.

While police have not yet confirmed the motive of the attack, local media has reported the attacker said the females were "too lightly dressed".

The mother and two eldest daughters are believed to have suffered non-life threatening injuries.
