Lobi Stars and Akwa United gun for glory today November 22, at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere Lagos, as they battle to win the prestigious trophy at the 2015 Federation Cup Final.

Akwa United are hoping to win their first title while Lobi Stars aim for a second title after they won in 2003, and then lost in the final in 2005 and 2012.


It promises to be a thrilling encounter as Governor Udom of Akwa Ibom has charged his boys told the players to go to Lagos and return with the trophy.
The governor who also promised to be physically present at the stadium said:“I am coming for the game against Lobi Stars in Lagos. I want you to go and bring back the trophy. The state is waiting patiently for the trophy.


I know you have a good team that can make all of us in Akwa Ibom smile.

This is the first time, a club from the state will qualify for the final of the Federation Cup and I want you to make it count this time”
However, Lobi Stars captain, Terna Ikpeen has promised that his team will come-up with nothing but victory.
“We have a good team. We are ready for this match. We have prepared for the game, and we are going to triumph.

The motivation is there for us and everything is set for us to become champions,”he raved.
