Ighalo urges Mikel Obi to join him at Watford

Super Eagles striker, Odion Ighalo, has asked his international team-mate, John Mikel Obi, to join him at Watford.

Mikel Obi is yet to play a single game for Chelsea this season under manager Antonio Conte.

The 29-year-old whose current deal expires next summer, has been linked with Marseille, Manchester United and a move to the Chinese Super League .

But Ighalo has urged him to make a switch to Vicarage Road.

“I would like it if Mikel joined me at Watford,” Ighalo told the Mirror.

“He is my captain at the national team. Apart from that he is a very good player, very talented.

“There is no team in the Premier League that will not want to have such a player.

“I am happy I have played with him so I will be very happy to have him in my team.”
