“please help me Miss, i don’t want to go their again,” the little boy cried holding my hands. Am in the orphanage where my mom works, different situations over here and the kids are suffering from starvation, i wish the Governor will look into this but non of them have been giving denotions over here. And for this boy, he just ran away from his foster parents staying he don’t want to stay with him anymore. I felt so pity for the poor child.

“just calm down, no one is taking you over their,” i said while he wipe away his tears.
“let go, Ma’am Sarah need to see you inorder to trace you foster parents,” mom said as she walked up to us. She held his hand they went to the next building which i guess its the office. Since am done with high school i usually come over here to help mom take care of the kids.

“mom, is he staying here? i asked when i saw her coming.
“i don’t know yet, but if staying here will make him happy i guess he just have to stay here until someone adopt him. I sometimes wish am that rich so i could be able to help those kids,” she said looking so sad.

“that why which time i keep thanking God for making me be your daughter and not an orphan, am so proud having you,” i hug-ged her so tight with tears clouded in my eyes. I don’t know what i would have ever done without my mom, she’s always the best.

After work we went back home and thank goodness Erica was already done with dinner.

“mom, Chloe welcome,” Erica said smiling as she sat on the chair while we also join her at our dining old table. Aunt Cecily also joined us.

“mom, i have collect the neccessary things i will need at school and too bad we need i need to process everything in school at Ontario, that means we need to travel their before the end of this week,” i said sadly, i know mom don’t have enough money for our transport and also our upkeep.

“don’t worry Chloe i have some money with me but am not too sure it will be enough,” she said while i sighed.

“no need to worry mom, i and Chloe will resume back to our business of selling of flowers and different flavor of chocolate, we were making porgress with that before you later stopped us from doing so,” Erica said sadly.

“Erica, i want the best for both of you, selling those things isn’t good for my young beautiful girls,” mom said while i smiled.
“i have some money with me, don’t just worry yourself,” Aunt Cecily said.

“okay then, let just enjoy the meal for now,” i said, trying to cheer everyone up.

⏭️I went to my room and meet Erica doing her a-ssignment.
“so we are leaving on saturday? she asked while i nodded.

“am gonna miss this place, it attached to lots of memories of our childhood and i’ll miss all our friends,” i said then opened the window looking at the sky which was filled with lot of stars.

“hey Erica look, a shooting star quickly make a wish,” i said so excited while she quickly stood up and rushed towards me.
“nothing much, i just want us to be together as family, i don’t want anyone to die anymore. I just want a happy family and that’s enough for us,” she said while i smiled then pulled her into a hug.

“that’s why we’ll do everything we can to make mom proud and also aunt Cecily, we need to work ha-rd to make our dreams come true,”

⏭️⏭️ “welcome..home,” i smiled and quickly hug dad first. They just arrived and our driver was the one that picked them from the airport.

“Sean, mom you all look happy,” i said happily then hug-ged them.

“i miss you so much my princess,” mom smile.

“am damn tired i need to sleep, hope you’ve prepare my favourite meal,” Sean said while i hit his hand playfully.

“i hope you’ve brou-ght lots of gift for me? I asked looking at dad then to mom.

“you can always count on us,” Dad said while i smiled. Our maid helped them packed their stuff to their room. I quickly went to Sean room and meet him arranging his stuff.

“you should call the maid to help you do that or Nanny hanny, she just came back from her hometown and has resumes her work to work at the St. Mary orphanage.

“so how was the vacation? i asked happily.

“perfect, mom and dad were acting like new couples, it as if they were for their second honeymoon,” he said while i laughed.

“yes, i like it that way,”
“you just look extremely happy, what’s the secret behind those smile? he asked.

‘well let me guess, it should be about you and Ethan or Francis,” he said while i frown.

“it not Francis i don’t like that guy cos he’s just too annoying for my liking and beside i guess Ethan have some feelings for me,” i said happily.

“really, do you think dad will allow you have a boyfriend? he asked while i rolled my eyes.

“don’t be so dumb Sean, dad will allow me do anything i like,” i said when we head a knock on the door.

“who’s that,” i yelled
‘it me Miss, dinner is ready,” the maid annouced while i quickly stood up happily and humm a song before leaving. I meet mom and dad already at the dining room, Sean quickly came to join us.

“hope my daughter is doing well at school? mom asked while i smiled.

“perfectly fine mommy,” i smiled. “am happy you’re back, that’s why i made this delicious meal for you,” i chuckle.

‘thank you Jasmine,” dad said while i smiled. We had our dinner together and it was the best evening having your complete family, such a happy home.

?Chloe’s POV?

I put on a pink top with a pair of black jeans trouser then packed my hair in ponytail. I checked the time and it already 5pm. The party will start in the next thirty minutes.

“how did i look,” Erica asked as she walked in wearing a pretty dress. Well mom never let us to dress like poor kids. That’s why i said she’s the best, she always buy us the best dresses so we could atleast look nice like other kids.

“you look pretty, but we won’t stay long am just going over their to see my friends and as well say goodbye to them,” i said while she nodded. We walked to our small sitting room and meet Mom and Aunt Cecily busy calculating something. I guess they’re planing on how we gonna moved to Ontario.

“Chloe, Erica,” mom said then smiled.

“you both look beautiful, please don’t stay too long and take care of yourselves. Chloe you’re the eldest so take care of Erica,” mom said while i smiled.

“sure,” i said then held Erica’s hand before we left.

“am not a kid Chloe, i can take care of myself. Mom is just over protective,” Erica said then rolled her eyes.

“she don’t want anything to happen to her girls especially you,” i said while she smiled.

We arrived at the venue and i felt so happy, loud music was played and everyone was busy. I and Erica walked in and i could feel the stares on us, it not as if we’re wearing expensive clothes, so why the stares… well maybe we’re beautiful..

“Chloe…” Mame called and i felt so happy seeing her, she’s my friend, a very funny one, am gonna miss her.

“am gonna miss you Chloe,” she said then hug-ged me.

“Mame, that’s the reason i came so we could atleast have fun for the last time,” i said while she giggle. I saw Jane, pretty and Celestine walked up to me.

“it our party, glad you came,” Celestine said while i smiled.
“okay girls, let go to our table,” Pretty said while i turn to see Erica who was happily talking to one of her friend. We went to the table and i was suprise to see the table filled different drinks. I could say high school was actually nice, i didn’t have much enemies even thou i know some were jealous of me but that’s life right? Am glad to have those girls with me, Mame, Celestina, Pretty and Jane, they’re the best and we were pretty much close with them. They’re all from a simple family like me, i guess poor or average kids are much better if you mingle with them not like those rich kids, they’re spoilt brat.

? Lots of event went on and talent showing casing, well i and my friends dance, am pretty perfect in dancing, i so much love it. We had enough drink but am much careful enough not to get drunk, mom might be mad at me. It getting dark and i check the time to see it eight already, i quickly sighted Erica who was sitting with some girls, i stood up to went to her when Collins walked up to me.

“we need to talk Chloe..Please,” he said looking at me.

“Collins i’ll miss you but please am not interested in you, i don’t love you, no! i love you as a friend but not as what you think. Am not just into all this love stuff, but we’re still friend if you want,” i said sighed then ran his hands throu-ghhis hair.

“Chloe, i love you so much,” he said, this not the first time am hearing thing like this.

“am sorry .. Collins,” i said then turn to leave but he for-cefully grab my hand then pin me to the wall.

“maybe you want it the ha-rd way,” he said the drag me with him, everyone was damn busy and my friends were at the front table am sure the might not see me, on the other hand Erica is drunk i need to save her, mom will scold me if something bad happen to her.

“where are you taking me to? i asked almost in tears, we are in a hallway where no one is and am damn scared. I tried to pull off his hands away from mine but he was strong enough.

“do you know how long i have waited for you, i have always loved you,” he said then try to ki-ss me but i shift my head away. He pull my hair then to-re my top, i thought Collins was a good guy.

“Collins… please don’t hurt me,” i cried while he smirk.

“watch out Collins, look behind you,” i yelled in tears while he quickly turn, i use that opportunity to pushed him down then quickly ran out. What do i tell mother, my top is been to-re. I quickly sighted Erica then went to her.

“let go home Erica,” i said but she was drunk.

“Chloe, what happen, your dress has been to-re and you’re crying? Mame asked.

“i need to go, please tell the other girls. Am fine,” i said wiping away my tears.
“did you involved in a fight with someone? she asked again.

“am fine Mame,” i said then Dragged Erica with me. Am so ashame to discuss this with anyone, am not gonna tell mom about this. I quickly stopped a cab outside and we get in. Collins is such a bastard!

We arrived home and thank goodness, mom is already asleep, i quickly dragged Erica to our room while i quickly changed my dressed and take a quick shower. I don’t want to end like my mom, i don’t want to end up being ra-pe. That’s the reason i hate to have any boyfriend, they’re so wicked in heart. I have always seen Collins as a good person but he just broke my trust for him and now i hate him just the way i hated Anton. I hug-ged my pillow so tight to me and cried until i later fall asleep.

? ?…The next morning i woke up feeling so sad about yesterday night, i shouldn’t have go to the party.

“Erica, you need to take your bath before mom notice anything fishy,” i said while she stood up from the bed.

“how did i get in here. OMG i was drunk! she said while i rolled my eyes.

“am so angry at you Erica, what if something bad happen to you, why would you even get drunk?

“am sorry Chloe.. i thought it was just a drink and those girls said it good for me, please don’t tell mom,” she said with a sad face.

“hmmm. okay but something happen yesterday, Collins almost… ra-ped me,” i said while she gasped.

“what! Collins! how dare he?

“don’t tell mom, we need to keep this as a secret, moreover we are moving to Ontario where we can’t see the bad Collins again,” i said trying to hold back the tears in my eyes.
. I and Erica quickly take out bath and made breakfast.

“what took you so long yesterday? mom asked while i looked at her with a sad face.
“sorry mom, well the party went on well. Atleast i meet with my crazy friends for the last time,” i said faking a smile then looked at Erica who wasn’t smiling.
“are you sure? she asked while i nodded.

“yes mommy, am gonna miss the school,” Erica said while i nodded.

⏭️A week Later…⏭️

I was damn tired, we just arrived to Ontario and thank goodness mom got a nice apartment for us to live in and we just finished arranging our things, i was so happy, i hope staying over here will be much better for everyone but i know here is also attached to lots of memories about mom and her so called wicked ex husband.

⏭️I and Erica applied for a job at san street in a flower shop. We need to get enough money cos living over here is just too difficult and everything is costly. Mom is still trying ha-rd to get Erica a good school.

“welcome sir,” i said when a young handsome guy walked in, staring at the different flowers.

“like to buy one, for your family, your girlfriend, well we have different flowers. You can go for the red rose for your girlfriend or…” Erica kept talking…bla..bla.
“i would like the red rose,” he said while i went to reached it out for him. A red rose. His phone beep and he quickly picked up the call.

“Jasmine, let meet at the Queen’s Garden,” he said smiling. this he just say Jasmine…. Well they’re many people baring Jasmine… and not my sister?.
