Must Read: Love Diary

The early morning Saturday sunshine crept through my window, waking me up. It was a bright morning. I was so happy with no particular reason. I brushed up and took my bath. As I finished ordering for room service, my phone rang, I picked it up at once.

“It’s me.”

Samantha.

Her voice has a way of melting my heart.
“Morning, sweet heart.”

“How was your night?” I asked.

“To sleep was difficult. Thinking of you,” she said.

“I dreamt of you.” I said.

“Really, Tell me about it,” Her voice was filled with excitement.

“Nooo! We will do trade by barter. When I come, you will tell me the news you have for me and I will tell you mine.” I said.

She chuckled, “You are wicked.”

“No am not. I am getting ready to start coming.”

“Please. You have made me to wait so long,” she said.

I ended the call and began to dress up. In ten minutes time, I was in a taxi heading to Rose bank station. There I bought a red dress for her and bought the ticket for Gautrain. Gautrain is Africa’s fastest train. With the morning rush hour, it takes a car to 2 hours to reach Pretoria from Johannesburg but with Gautrain, the journey lasts for only thirty minutes.

I entered the huge speed train and sat down.

I brought out my phone and texted Samantha.
Honey, I’m on my way. Will see you at the station in thirty minutes.

It was a fast journey. In 30 minutes time, we have arrived at Pretoria. Known as the Jacaranda city for all the purple blossom-bedecked trees, which line its thoroughfares, Pretoria is a lovely quiet city.

Located 50km north of Johannesburg and surrounded by the foothills of the Magaliesberg mountains, Pretoria is South Africa’s Administrative capital and home to government departments, ministries, foreign embassies and diplomatic missions.

I looked around the beautiful buildings that made the city unique. They were marked with colonial influence along with touches of art deco and South African-style architecture.

The train stopped and its door opened. I took the small bag containing my gift for Samantha and came out of the train.

I looked around for her and finally saw her. She was wearing a white gown which stopped just above her knees. She saw me and quickly rushed to my direction. I carried her up.

I couldn’t believe it. It was like a dream.

I felt the joy of being with her. Her presence captivates me.

“Good morning beautiful.” I said as brought her down. She kissed me hard and rested her heads on my shoulders.

Suddenly, there was commotion nearby.

I was already outside the train station. A police van quickly pulled up and stopped in front of us.
Three policemen came out and flashed their Identity card. “Young man, we are from the South African Police service, Gauteng province.

We discovered heroin and cocaine stashed under your bed inside your hotel room in Fairland. We frown at dubious men like you who come to our country to deal in drugs.

You are under arrest. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law.”

Everything was happening so fast.

“Nooooo,” Samantha was crying as they pulled me away from her. They roughly manhandled me, tied up my hands with handcuff and pulled me inside their van.

“Which drugs?”
“What is the meaning of this?”
I was confused. I was shouting.

Who is behind this?

What have I gotten myself into?

My head was boiling with questions and conflict of thoughts as rough hands pulled me hard inside and the van sped away.
