“Guy, you really had a week filled with drama,” said Timothy as his face popped in front my laptop screen.

“That fool has gotten a taste of his own medicine,” said Moses as his face replaced that of Tim.

It was 4:30 here but 3:30pm in Nigerian time.

Tim was with Moses in his house. I have told them all that happened and they were quite concerned. We were doing video communication via Skype. Samantha went out. I was staying in the living room.

“Guy, when are you coming back?” asked Timothy.

“Next week Wednesday.” I said.

“Be careful,” said Moses.

“Try and stay out of trouble,” said Tim.

“I will,” I assured them.

“Any news from your side?” I asked.

“Yesooo. I will be heading to Tinapa with Sheila this evening. We may probably reach there around eight in the evening,” said Tim.

He appeared so excited.

“Safe Journey,” I said.

Moses’ face appeared on the screen. He smiled and said, “I guess I will be last man standing. I’m not going anywhere. I may go out with Jennifer tomorrow. As for now, it’s still a maybe.”

“Why don’t you want to go out tomorrow? It’s Valentine’s day.” I reminded him.

“And so what? I am tired of valentine wahala.

It’s a one day that is so full of Sh*t.” He said.

Hmmm. Interesting.Coming from a guy that has already popped the marriage question. I kept my thoughts to myself.

Tim’s face reappeared, “Mos, are you out of your mind? Valentine’s day is about celebration of love,” He said defensively.

“Oh Love, is it to be celebrated only once in a year?” asked Moses.

“It’s okay guys.” If I don’t stop them, they will probably continue. I am already beginning to feel sleepy.

“Thanks so much guys. I appreciate.” I said.

“We will keep in touch.” Tim said.

I ended the connection, shut down the laptop and staggered to my bed in the guest room.

I had already showered before calling them.

I closed my eyes and fell into deep sleep.

I woke up the next day by 6 am. One hour later, I was in a Sunday service with Samantha.

“Love is the most powerful force in the world.

True love never fails.” I intertwined my fingers with hers as the preacher continued to preach about love.

At noon that day, I was in the living room watching local news when Samantha appeared.

“Happy Valentine’s day.” She exclaimed.

I smiled at her, “Happy Valentine’s day honey.”

“Guess what?” she said.

I grinned. “Please tell me. I sU-Ck in guessing game.”

“Okay, get ready, we are going sightseeing today.” she announced, looking so excited.

I nodded and quickly jumped out of the couch.

I dressed up in blue blazer and jeans. When Samantha came out of her room, she was looking so beautiful. She was dressed in a floral V-necked bodycon cocktail dress that stopped just above her knees.

“You look beautiful.”I said as I stood motionless gazing.

Her confident smile widened. “Thank you.”
