Must Read: June 6th

The sun was out; time could be about 8:00am; the ladies were up, their voices woke Daniel up.

They chatted and laughed loudly because they were not aware of the event that took place at night
“Can you believe that last night, I dreamt of being with my useless ex-boyfriend?” Rita said packing her hair with it’s band; the others laughed loud
“Yours was better, I saw myself in front of a table full of food; rice, chicken, turkey, fish and so on” Jane said and they busted into laughter
“Hahahahaha, na where you go see that won for here” Ada said laughing
“My sister, it felt so real? I ate till I was satisfied” They laughed out real loud. Just then Daniel woke up, he raised his head and saw them gisting and laughing, he sat up and touched his head
“Good Morning, there” Ada said smiling
“Good morning Boss” the others greeted
“Good morning Mr. Ross” Elizabeth said
“Good morning everyone” he said looking around
“How was the night?” Ada asked smiling.

Daniel didn’t hear that as he kept looking if the monster women were present but they were not
“Hellooo” Ada said
“Yeah?” he said turning to look at her
“How was the night?” Ada said
“O the night. More than terrible” Daniel said and they started laughing thinking he was joking. Just then Mark woke up, he jerked with fear as he rose up from under the banana leaves he quickly looked around in fear. The ladies were quiet as they stared at him; then he calmed down and looked at Daniel and said nothing
“Mark? You must have had a bad dream. Don’t worry the witches chasing you from your village didn’t follow you here” Rita said and the ladies laughed at him.
“Shut the hell up!!!!!” Mark screamed at them and they were quiet, they saw that the look on his face was not a joke
“mark, relax it was just a bad dream” Ada said smiling a little, Mark looked at her with an angry face and her smiled disappeared
“A night mare would have been better than what I saw last night” Mark said and stood up, he walked away
“Mark, what do you mean?” Ada said
“Maybe you should ask your boyfriend” he said pointing to Daniel as he walked away.

Daniel was silent as the ladies stared at him
“Did anything happen last night?” Rita said, Daniel was quiet, he didn’t know what to say he looked away
“Come on say something” Ada said
“Nothing happened” Biola said standing up from where he was laying
“Maybe he had a bad dream” Biola said looking at Daniel who was looking at the jungle
“O Really? Nothing happened, so you say am lying, huh?” Mark said walking back angrily
“Nothing happened” Biola said angrily at Mark
“Shut up, you liar. You guys lighted fire at night after we were warned not to and brought monsters on us” Mark’s words shocked the ladies
“what the hell are you talking about?” Biola said
“Just shut up and admit it” Mark said holding his head with both hands
“Yes we did” Daniel said
“you did what” Rita said
“We lighted the fire” Daniel said
“At last someone is being truthful” Mark said looking at Biola
“Why the hell would you guys do that?” Rita said
“I believe he has a good reason for doing that” Ada said
“Will you be quiet? What reason could he have? All you do is support him even without think because you are obsessed about him” Mark said, he knew he shouldn’t have said those words because it created an awkward silence between everyone. He felt guilty
“Mark? Is that how you put it?” Ada asked, she was angry, she stood up and walked away
“You are such an idiot” Jane said to Mark
“Don’t you ever say that to me” Mark said pointing at her
“and what are you gonna do?” Jane said standing up
“just say it and see for yourself”
“That doesn’t change a thing, you’re an idiot” Jane said sitting down and Mark walked towards her and was about to beat her up
“Don’t you dare do it. I’ll beat you to a coma” Daniel said without looking at him.

Mark knew better so he stopped and walked away angrily
“Really? Is that all you can say now?” Rita said to Daniel who was quiet
“At least we know what we are up against” Biola said
“Really? There could be more out there and other stuffs we don’t know” Rita said
“We’ll fight” Biola said
“What did you say? Do I look like a fighter to you?” Rita said
“No one’s fighting. None of you are. You just let me handle that” Daniel said while looking at a knife
“O there goes our superman” Rita said and stood up, walked away. Everyone was silent Daniel stood up and walked to meet Ada who was sitting close to the ocean away from the others. He walked and stood behind her
“What do you want?” She said
“I just wanted to talk” Daniel said
She turned and saw him “O am sorry, I thought it was mark” she said and faced the waters. He sat down beside her
“You know? He’s right I think am obsessed about you” ada said lowering her face
“No not obsess but Love” he said and looked at him
“But it’s too late, you have a beautiful wife waiting for you and the world has already ended” She replied
“Yeah, true but we have been friends and it has been love to me” he said putting his hand around her shoulders, she smiled and rested on his chest
“Since all these started you have been the only true friend I have, you happen to be the closest to me amongst everyone” he said
“and you have saved my life in ways I can’t forget. You saved me from that fire, you saved me from myself, and you saved me from dying in the ocean” she said smiling
“Come on let’s go over there, we all need to have a meeting. Let’s have a plan” he said and they both stood up and walked to meet the others and sat with them.

There was an arrangement of four big logs wood forming a square wide enough for all of them to lay down; they all sat down except Rita and Mark who were not present.
“We need to talk” Daniel said to everyone.

They all looked at him and listened
“Biola, please call Mark and Rita. They need to be here” Biola quickly went over to call the both of them and they came, everyone was present.
